This week was pretty swell. We met with terry again, and I seriously don't understand the inner workings of that man. We taught him this week and we seriously had the weirdest meeting ever. We had talked about the BoM in district meeting and so I thought it would just be cool to show him Ezekiel 37 talking about the sticks. Almost as soon as I finished talking, he almost blew up at us saying we didn't need to convince him that it was true and that he already believes it, so stop talking about it. Does that make sense to any of you?
If he believed it was the word of God, wouldn't he be thrilled to hear from it? He kept calling the bible the "father" and the BoM the "grandson" I don't get what is happening. He also said "you truly do have some wonderful and great authority, but i feel that there are others who have authority too. Other prophets and apostles." The question that came to mind was "well then why be baptized into our church?" but he wouldn't stop talking for long enough for us to ask him. SO FRUSTRATING. I guess we'll just dig in and get to work on that little obstacle.
The wonderful thing that happened this week is we had a man come to church after almost a years worth of inactivity following his confirmation. He came and wanted to meet with us. He is from Uganda and has been talking lots about the church in Uganda. It was fun to talk to him and hear more about the country. He got elder Warner a wall hanging like the ones we have in our basement. It was pretty cool. We also had two other ladies that have been inactive come to church this week. It was crazy to think we haven't had an investigator at church in a few weeks, but the less active work is just rolling right along. Hopefully we'll be able to start teaching through them.
Anyway, that is about it for the week. Sure love you all a lot and am happy all is well.
